SUP YALL

WELL HOWDY YALL

This week was soooo amazing and full of muchos milagros!!!!

Here's some highlights and stories :

- we had Zone Conference on Wednesday and that was SUPER fun!! It's always SO fun to see our missionary friends :))

-we were able to have our mission Presidents wife, Sister Evanson come out with us for a couple hours on Thursday!! So that was super fun! We had a lesson with Uriel that night and he committed to come to church!! Then on Sunday he came!!! He was able to meet people from the ward so hopefully he comes again!

- on Saturday we got to do some service for a lady in the ward. She called us and asked if we could bring elders. When we got there and she wanted to put two big things in the truck bed and would only let the elders do the lifting hahahaha. But it was fun!!!

- me and Hermana Cottrell planned a youth Fireside with President and another elder in our mission, and it was this Sunday! We talked to the youth about missions and basically got them excited about missionary work and to go out!! It was for all the youth from each stake from Orem up to American Fork. We were able to do it in the Alpine Tabernacle and this place is HUGE! Even better, the place was full! It was so amazing and we get to do it a couple more times, one for YSA and one for the other half of our mission!

- today we played pickleball for our district activity

- we had our first lesson with our new friend Julio tonight! We started teaching the restoration and he stops us and goes "hermanas I want to be baptized" so we set a date for him!! He said he wanted to be baptized on his birthday on April 12th!!! We are so excited for him and sooo grateful that we were able to meet him!

That was basically my week! We are so blessed here in the UOM !!!

I hope you guys have the best week!

HOLA A TODOS

So this week was super fun!

Here's some highlights from the week:

- on Sunday we went to a members house for dinner! That was super fun. We LOVE this family so much. They are from Columbia so they made us a Columbian dish! Their son just got home from his mission a couple months ago and so he had his mission comp over and they made an Argentinian dish for us also. We drank mate and it was Hermana Cottrell's first time and guess what... she hated it HAHA

- on Monday was pday and we did a combined district activity and we played volleyball, that was super fun!

-on Tuesday we were able to have a lesson with our friend Alberto. He is a really awesome guy, he comes to church every other week when he doesn't have his grandkids with him, and he is super open to learning so that's awesome!!

-on Wednesday I went on exchanges with Hermana Gilbert again! I love her. This time we went into my area and we just did some contacting. Later that night the elders quorum president in our ward came up to us after a meeting we had at the church and told us about a family from Ecuador that we should visit. We went straight to their house and we were able to have a lesson with the mom and the daughter, they told us straight away that they were evangelical but they told us we could come back... YAY

-Thursday was wild. We got a call from the YSA sisters and they told us about a mom and a son who just got here from Columbia who had told them they felt it was right to learn about the church while they are here! So we had a lesson with the son Sebastián about the restoration and he loved it. He said he wanted to come to church so we set up a chapel tour with him and his mom for Saturday!

- Thursday also we went to a referral we got and they didn't answer, but when we were walking back to our car we saw this man walking his dog so we decided to go talk to him. We found out that he used to have the missionaries over every Saturday for a long time before he moved to this area! He said we could come over and he pointed out where he lived but we still had no idea so we had to get his number instead! LOL

- on Friday we had a BUSSIN lesson with our friend Erica. We talked about the restoration and she told us that she believes our church is true, but she said she didn't want to confuse her kids. The lesson ended off well and she told us she would pray to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet and if the church is true! Then she invited us over for dinner on Saturday!!!

-on Saturday we had our chapel tour!!!! We got to meet Sebastiáns mom and she's so nice!! After the tour of the chapel she was SO excited to come to church with us!

- we went to the dinner at Erica's and it was her kids birthday party hahaha. So we got to eat pasole with them and it was so fun!!

- on Sunday we went to a referral that some elders gave us and when we went they weren't home, BUT their were other family members in the house. We met Israel and Rojexys, they just moved here from Venezuela 2 months ago and hadn't really heard about the church. We gave a Book of Mormon intro and they loved it! So we are so excited to start teaching them!!

- and lastly we finally had a lesson with our friend Leslie after about 3 months. She comes to church every single week and goes to all the youth activities! She told us she wants to be a member but she didn't want to schedule a baptism date just yet, so now we are just working on having consistent lessons with her YAY!!!

This week was full of miracles and we were so blessed!! We were able to find 14 new people to teach! We are so excited to start teaching these people!!

I hope yall have a fantastic week!!!

WHITE WASHING?!?!

Hey guys!!!!

Wow these last 2 weeks were crazy haha!!

So 3 Sundays ago we had transfer calls and me and Hermana Cottrell were 1000% expecting a call because I had been in my baby area for 3 transfers and been with her for 2 of those! So we thought that I was leaving! Later that night as expected, we get a call. One of the APs that called us just starts asking about the day and me and Hna Cottrell were just sitting there like ok ok give us the news we were so scared hahaha. So he's like "ok I think you guys are gonna like your news, like really like it, like you guys are gonna love it" and we were like OK give it to us lol. So he's like "you're staying!!!" So the reason he called us was to tell us that we were combining our areas and that we are white washing their area while still having our area also!! So that has been this last week, just us trying to get to know this new area hahahah.

So these past couple weeks were crazy getting to know all the new people in the other half of our area!

But ya other than that here's so highlights:

-cut and dyed Hermana Cottrells hair

-we had zone conference 2 weeks ago which was SO good as always!!!

- we had some good lessons with our friend Crismar after not having contact for about a month! Milagros

-i went on an exchange with Hermana Pineda and it was awesome!!! She is an amazing missionary!!

- our fridge and freezer broke so we called the maintenance to come fix it but instead they just installed a new one!!!

- we got 8 people to sacrament last Sunday!!

- we were able to find 6 new people to teach so that's awesome!!

- I hit 6 MONTHS wow that's crazy!!!

- I lost my wallet today

- we went to yummys Korean bbq

- we made Arepas and I ate 4!

- almost got attacked by a huge dog because the elders told us it looks scary and will bark but u just have to open the gate and walk in. So we did and it stopped barking and came up to us and then when we were leaving it was right behind me barking and growling so we ran out of there LOL

- the weather was weird this week. On Wednesday it was hot, 60 degrees but it felt hot and we were in short sleeves and it was amazing. Then on Friday, Saturday and Sunday it snowed!!! It was the worst.

Welp ya that was my update for the last couple weeks!!!

I'm so grateful for the opportunity that I have to serve here in Orem because this is seriously the BEST mission ever. I know that this is exactly where I'm supposed to be and that Heavenly Father has the most perfect plans for everyone!! I love y'all SOOOOO much and I hope you guys have the BEST week!!!
