WEEK 3!

HOLA AMIGOS!! COMO ESTAN?!

Well this was my first week at the Provo MTC! It is so much fun! Being here is so much better because I always have something to do even if we are just in our rooms. I just like being with tons of people haha! This week honestly went by so slow, I feel like I have been here for like 3 weeks. Hopefully the next couple weeks don't feel this long!

First off the food here is not the best. Me and Hermana Nase literally have only eaten about 3 real meals from the cafeteria so for every other meal we have only been eating cereal! I have eaten fruit loops every single day for a week! I don't think I can take it anymore HAHA! The MTC needs to step it up.

Here's a funny story for yall... so we have been learning Spanish and my compañera, Hermana Fricke is basically fluent! She is so good at understanding everything and speaking it, I'm jealous haha! BUT ok so she sleep talks and it's funny because sometimes we will wake up to her just talking but the other day I woke up about like 3 times that night to her talking but she was TALKING IN SPANISH!!! How?! I have no idea! Hahaha it was crazy and other girls from my district heard it too!

Also! We went to the temple today! That was such an amazing experience to go with all the missionaries from my district and from other districts! The spirit was so strong the entire time and I loved it!

Haha well anyways this week was really just focused on having faith in Jesus Christ. And I realized that God is in charge and that we need to be in tune with the spirit so that we can be the instrument in God's hand that he wants us to be. And we need to exercise and increase our faith in Him and his gospel so that confidently teach it to others. It has been an amazing experience these past couple weeks growing my faith and learning more about Jesus Christ and his gospel!

Here are some pics!

Provo MTC!!!

 I MADE IT!

Hey guyssss I finally made it to the PROVO MTC and I love it!

I got here yesterday and wow it was a long day. It started out with me waking up at 3:30am and getting going to the airport around 4ish! We got there and weighed my bags and they both were a little over 50 pounds each, but it's ok because they didn't charge us! My parents walked me to security and we found the other sister that I was gonna fly with, and I love her - she is so nice. We said a sad goodbye to our parents and then we were off! It was a COLD flight to SLC. It was hard to sleep because I was freezing on the plane haha! When I got there my grandma picked me up and we went to Swig and I saw my roommate Maddie! SOOO HAPPY I GOT TO SAY BYE TO HER🥺 After we got Swig, we went and saw grandpa and then went to lunch at Zupas with some friends! That was so awesome to say bye to a few more people before I got to the MTC.

THEN I MET MY DISTRICT YAYAY!!! Still love them and they are more fun in person haha.

We had a devotional and it was amazing. We learned different attributes of Christ and how we should and can use those and become more like him, not only as missionaries but throughout our whole lives!

Well sorry this is a day late haha I'll make up for it with some pictures...

SEMANA UNOOOO!!!

WHATS UP GUYS!

I have officially made it through my first week as a missionary and also to my second p-day! WOW that’s crazy! First off I just gotta say being a missionary is amazing and so much fun even at home! My first day we started off with class at 7:30 and I met my district. My district is amazing and so fun and they all have such strong testimonies. I also met my companion, Hermana Fricke! She is the BEST, and I can't wait to be companions in person! Going into the MTC at home I was kinda scared not gonna lie but after the first day I just felt so happy and already loved it. This past week has flown by, it seriously feels like I started yesterday ahaha!

On Wednesday it was our first p-day. It felt nothing like a p-day because we still had our normal schedule and our classes throughout our day. I'm guessing it will be a little different when I get to the Provo MTC... which is in exactly a week now! YAY!! During our p-day, Hermana Fricke and I were scheduled for a helping others activity which is basically where you teach someone a lesson via zoom. We prepared for our lesson, had some scriptures and some good thoughts to share and we taught about the restoration and the Book of Mormon. At the end of this lesson the person we taught filled out a little survey about how we taught, and let me tell you we thought we did sooo good… but apparently it was not as good as we thought so that wasn’t fun. But hey it was only our third day! By the next day we learned so many new things on how to teach and we already knew what we needed to do to improve! We have our second lesson today with a new person, so hopefully that goes well!

We started learning Spanish!!! Ahhhh it's kinda hard but the more I practice the easier it gets! Hermana Fricke and I try to speak in Spanish as much as possible and we have started reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish as well! One Hermana in my district, Hermana Hunter is a beast at Spanish and every time she prays it is always in Spanish. It's not even short simple prayers, they are long prayers that we would normally say in English! crazy, maybe one day I'll be as good as her ;)

I have learned so many things in this last week, it's insane! I am so excited to continue MTC and go to Provo next week! I'm also sooooo excited to meet my district in person! They all have taught me so much as well, and I can't wait to keep learning from them. They are also the funniest people ever and we just get along so well! We’re so lucky our teacher Hermana Aguayo can deal with us hahaha… one day when she left her screen Hermana Nase screenshotted her background and we made that our background, so when she came back we all had her background! HA good thing she loves us!!

Welp, cheers to my first email!! I love this gospel and I can't wait to share it with all the people out in good ol' Orem Utah!

18 months

Wowowow I seriously can't believe that it has been 18 months. The last 18 months have been the most fun, crazy and spiritual times of my...
