Hermana Holtry's Mission: May 2022

holaaaa como están?!?!?

The last 2 weeks have been pretty eventful soooooo here's some highlights!!!

- we got to go to the mission home to film some videos for our Facebook page!

- Sister Evanson gave me a bowl of lucky charms but with only the MARSHMALLOWS it was soooo good, a dream come true

- we have been finding some new people to teach... YAY

- held sooo many cute kittens hehe

- we got to go to a mini neighborhood rodeo with one of our recent converts, Sandro and his best friend Ricardo who we are teaching!!! It was so fun all the kids in the ward brought their horses and they all did a mini rodeo for us, it was adorable.

- me and Hermana Pringle got sick last week... that was fun... not really.

- Ricardo came to church last Sunday!! Yayayay he told us he wants to learn more so we are SUPER happy about that!

- Sandro got the priesthood last Sunday and then this Sunday he was able to bless it!!

- we met an english fam just knocking the doors that we didn't know and they were super nice they invited us over for ribs on Saturday and the were delicious.

- we were able to go to Justices baptism which was AWESOME!!!

- we met and talked to lots of new fun people!!!

Overall this week and last week were awesome!!! I love this area and all the people here! I hope ya'll have a great week!! Sorry this is short but I hope ya'll have a fantastic week!!!!

Ok this title is a little deceiving...

But don't worry they are only from my mom. To say the least, I'm scared of the outcome, so here's an email. Don't worry I love you guys but writing emails and remembering is hard dude.

This week (and last) were good ones.

We were able to do a lot of service for our favorites Ashley and Sabrina. Every time we go over there they always feed us the best food. We helped Ashley plant potatoes, we weeded their garden and helped clean the backroom before her siter comes to live with her. Yesterday Ashley even came to church!!!! Ok but only because her sister in law is staying with them and she's a member and because we were giving talks! But we love their family sooo much so as long as their happy, I'm happy.

We had zone conference this week!! I always love zone conference so much. The trainings were awesome as always and good reminders for us! It was a little sad this time because it wasn't Spanish zone conference. So we weren't able to see our friends from Orem :(( but we did get to know more English missionaries... jk they didn't talk to us... oh well

We were finally able to find our friend Nestor!!! He is living with his girlfriend who's the only member and their daughter Brooklyn and nephew Justice. Justice is awesome!!! We have met him a couple times and helped teach him. This last week we went, Nestor was home! So we had a lesson with him and Brooklyn and WOW this man is golden. He is so smart and he's looking for truth. We were going to put him on date our first lesson but then we decided to do it the next lesson, so pray it goes well!!! After our lesson we were walking out and his girlfriend Alyssa and Justice came home and we all talked to them for a little. Justice turned to the elders and asked when he can "do the water thing" HE ASKED TO BE BAPTIZED!!! So they set a date for him for May 21st!!! We are so excited for him!! And right after Brooklyn was saying how she wanted to get baptized too! It was such an awesome night!!

We had a lesson with our friend Lola this week and it went sooo well. We taught her the gospel of Jesus Christ and she loved it. We asked her to be baptized but she had told us she already was baptized into the catholic church. We explained a little more about the priesthood and she said she will pray about it!!! So keep her in your prayers also!

We had to give talks on Sunday and that was fun!! We talked about mothers and ya it was fun. That was stressful cuz I literally wrote my talk the morning of... scaryyy but it went well!

We are just super excited for this next week and all the miracles it will bring!!!
