NAVIDAD?!

Feliz Navidad mis panas 

Wow I can't believe it's already almost Christmas! It seriously was just super hot and summer time. Oh how the time flies by! 

This week was super super fun. We did a lot of Christmas things! On Tuesday we found 4 new people to teach! We were kinda bummed because literally a couple hours before that we had to drop like 6 people because they weren't progressing and that was super sad. BUT like literally a couple hours later we got a call from some elders in another area telling us they had a referral for us that one of their members had found. So we went and visited them and it was a mom, dad and their babies and a grandma and they are super nice so we are SUPER excited for that one! The other guy is named Henry and his wife is a member and he's super cool and seemed like he enjoyed listening to us and that he is actually interested so YAY! 

On Wednesday we weren't allowed to leave our house until 12 because it had snowed and none of the roads were plowed. That was sad because we had a sisters conference for that day so it had to be on zoom :((  The next day we did exchanges and I got to go with Hermana Gilbert again and I LOVE HER! This time she came to my area and so I showed her around! Scary tho because I had to drive in the snow and I haven't done that in a while. But it's ok because we didn't die! 

On Friday our zone got to go the Mission Home with President and Sister Evanson for a Christmas devotional. We all sang read the Christmas story and ate spudnuts! They are donuts made out of potatoes and they are actually bussin I promise! 

Last but not least we had our ward Christmas party, and boy does our ward know how to party! They had lot of music and food and even a piñata! We also got some talented people who performed in our ward!!

(oh and I learned this week that people from the south make fun of us for saying "you guys" just like we make fun of them for saying yall) who knew?!

SNOW

Hey!! This week was fun! 

This week started off with our zone being able to go to the temple together! That was superrr awesome! It was such a cool experience to go with the zone! 

On Wednesday night we were told that there was going to be a winter storm and that there was going to be a bunch of snow so we had to prepare! Then we woke up the next day and there was no snow, it was disappointing hahaha. But then we went to district council and when we were done we walked out and it was snowing so that was a super fun surprise! 

On Thursday we also got to go to the giving machines and work at them. It was so fun to work there and see people give gifts for those in need! 

We started teaching a new girl this week who told us she is looking for religion! So we were able to give her a book of Mormon and we are going to teach her this week! 

Victor got baptized this Sunday! I'm so happy! His son was able to baptize him and now their whole family are baptized. It was so special!

TRANSFERS

Welp,  this week was a crazy one! Hermana Mitton left for Spain on Tuesday morning so on Monday we had to drop her off at the mission home :(( so since transfers were Wednesday I had a temporary companion and it was Hermana Castleton-Rudolph and it was SO fun! We discovered some new food together so that was awesome. I had ran out of butter but I wanted to make toast to go with our pasta so I put the toast in and was looking for something to put on it. And guess what I found?!?! CHICKFILA sauce! And wow that was some good toast. I swear chickfila sauce can go on anything! 

Wednesday was transfers! All of the companionships but one in our district changes and our zone changed quite a bit to so that was crazy! My new companion is Hermana Cottrell and she's from Sacramento also! (El Dorado Hills) This first week was so fun with her! 

This week was a little different, we didn't have that many lessons and we also didn't get that many contacts either. Everyone we tried to talk to either didn't answer their door or told us to come back another time. And the saddest part is none of our friends came to church! NONE!! That was the first time no one came to church to that was muy triste :(( But ya other than that my week was really good and we had a lot of fun!! 

We went over to a members house because she was giving us our dinner to go and while we were waiting, we were hanging out with her cat and I was petting it and it bit me 3 times! Hahahah it was weird cuz then it would come back to me and just like sit on my lap. That cat was weird haha 

It's crazy to think that it's almost Christmas! Like come on it was just July! But I'm super excited for Christmas. So far it feels like Christmas, but a California Christmas not a Utah one because it hasn't snowed once since I've been here! But I'm fine with that because I'm cold enough as it is!
