FIRST WEEK IN THE FIELD

HEY GUYS!! So I got to Orem this week! I got here on Tuesday and wow it was such a long trip. A senior couple picked up 21 of us in these vans and we drove to Lindon to our mission office and then to Presidents home is Lehi! That night we stayed in a hotel and then the next day was transfers so that's when we got our new companions! My trainer is Hermana Mitton and she's from Alaska and I love her so much!

So we are in an area called Geneva and its basically Orem haha! Ya I'm like 10 minutes away from my grandparents, so sad :(( but anyways it's a Spanish area so we are completely Spanish! And it's also a car area BUT.... we are on BIKES BRUH. ya so it's hard. I love biking but we live outside of our area so to get to Orem we have to go up this huge hill everyday and wow I hate it. Basically long story short - before I got here last transfer they had a car, but another set of sisters who are in a bike area, one of them broke their toe so they stole it from our sisters and had it for longer than expected. My companion was supposed to have the car before this transfer but hadn't gotten it yet. We just found out today that we are getting it back tho, so YAY!!

The members here are super nice and I love them even though I can't understand them HAHA. The first day I got here we had a lesson with a girl named Darihagnys and we set her on date for baptism! She's set for November 6th but hopefully we can get it sooner!

So we usually get dinner everyday just by the members or by our relief society president who covers for us if anyone cancels, so that's amazing! And we share a ward with two elders so we always get fed together so that is super fun! One day someone canceled and so we were biking to a senior couple who offered to make us dinner and we were biking on the street and then my companion goes on the side walk but it has like a half inch lip to it and I'm going and I just EAT IT! Ya that hurt and it was only my 3rd day in. And the worst part is there was a bunch of cars that just watched me get totally wrecked.

But ya! My week was awesome and I love it here so much! AND I LOVE YOU GUYS TOO SO MUCH!

Love yall!

LAST WEEK AT MTC!!

HEYYYYYOOO!!!! Guys this is my last week at the MTC, 6 more days! This week has been crazy! Jk it's the same as every other week, nothing too insane.

This week started out with only Spanish! We signed a contract to only speak Spanish everywhere unless we were talking to people who don't know it! Let me tell you it's so hard but it's fine.

There's not much that went on this week, half our branch left on Monday and Tuesday so that was sad. On Wednesday me and Hermana Fricke were in a trio for a day! We had Hermana Hayes with us because her comp left to Santa Rosa and now Hermana Hayes left us this morning for San Jose :(( so sad but she's going to do great!

The food isn't getting much better BUT me and Hermana Nase have been eating healthy... we've been eating salads so yall should be proud of us hahaha!!

Me and Hermana Fricke had our helping other yesterday and it was our second lesson with Virginia. She had told us that she was struggling with praying and that she wasn't sure if she was doing it right and after our lesson I asked if she wanted to pray and she did! She nailed it also!

Our pday was quite busy today actually it started out with us all going to the temple and that was amazing as usual! And then we took a little trip outside the MTC to the hospital HAHA so it was full of some wild adventures! It ended with Hermana Pack, Hermana Seamons and I doing a musical number for all the new missionaries that arrived today! So that was fun! I also got to see Sister Grosbeck!! I was so happy to see her on her first day here!!!

Love you all so much! Next time you hear from me I'll be in Orem! I am so excited to head out!

1 MONTH DOWN BABY!

GUYS! It has officially been one month since I started my mission! Wow that is so crazy it has flown by! 17 months left to gooooo!

We finally hit October and apparently for the mtc that means Christmas! They literally put up Christmas light up on October 1st! Like what?! And it has already rained 3 times since being in Utah and it's crazy because I haven't been in rain for so long! I missed it a little but I still like the sunshine a lot better. It's been getting kinda chilly lately, the weather here is bipolar, one day it's like 55 and the next it's like 80! WEIRD!!

Well me and Hermana Nase have not eaten cereal everyday this week so yall should be proud of us! But some of the food still looks busted and ya the food is either really gross or really good, there's no in between.

Me and two other Hermanas from my branch, Hermana Pack and Hermana Seamons are auditioning tomorrow to do a musical number at a devotional! I'm playing the piano while they sing Come Thou Fount! I'm so excited so hopefully it goes well!

We watched General Conference this weekend and it was SO GOOD! So this week I was watching my cousins life video and he was asked the question "if you could tell the world one thing what would it be?" And he answered and said "Christ is always going to give you a light inside and a reason to have light, your job is just to keep it burning." I thought about that a lot this week and in a devotional we had yesterday by the General Young Women's president, Michelle Craigh and she said "Jesus is the giver of light." And again in General Conference Elder Nash said "Hold up your light that it may shine unto the world." I loved this so much because I had been thinking about it all week and about how true it is. Christ will always be right by us giving us our light and we have the choice to keep it burning and to show it to the world!

This week was so amazing and I'm so grateful for all the amazing talks in General Conference Conference in our devotional! I'm also so grateful for the opportunity we had to go to the temple again today!

Well here's some fun photos and videos!

Love you guys!
